: : What is the origin of the phrase "rice rocket?"

: : I heard some young people say it nearby a road.

: The Rice Rocket is a snowboard. It is one of the original hard-carving, freestyle series of boards that has been refined to take you anywhere you want to go with your snowboarding. For more information, simply Google 'rice rocket.'

A Rice Rocket may be the name of a snowboard, but I believe it originated with Harley riders who used it as a disparaging term for Japanese motorcycles. Also called "rice burner".
