The devil jumped...

A regular on another discussion group was telling about hitting a lawnmower thief with a carpenter's level. The thief had returned for more stuff. Her dog alerted her and she went outside armed with a level that was lying around after a DIY project. She wrote:

"The police were laughing at him because he was yelling for them to make me quit hitting him!

I just don't know what got into me, I am not usually so violent. I guess it is like my Grandpa used to say 'the devil jumped in my a** and I had to do it.'"
