A folder in a drawer

I ran across this expression in a movie.
when a detective asks a witness what he saw,
he refuses to tell the former what he eyewitnessed.
and says like that:
"you don't understand me how I feel.
All I am to you is a folder in a drawer."

PLEASE HELP ME< FOLKS!!
