: : Where did it come from.

: I'm not sure, but I have heard it used in the phrase, "..blow it To Kingdom Come". I'd like to know the origin, too.

If you knock someone (or blow him/her to) Kingdom Come, you have sent him/her to another world. Heaven. In other words, he or she is dead. The expression Kingdom Come is from the Lord's Prayer and refers, I believe, to when Jesus returns and establishes His kingdom. But in popular usage, I'd say it means heaven.

Matt. 6 -- After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
