: : : I couldn't find "Dutch tilt" or "angle" in a filmmaker's dictionary or regional slang dictionaries.
: : Hmmm. Something lacking in your filmmaker's dictionary, I fear. Many tripod manufacturers (Sachtler, Cartoni, O'Connor) even market "Dutch heads" these days.
: : Does your filmmaker's dictionary say anything about French Flags? That's another one that has always puzzled me. Who's the publisher of the dictionary? I didn't know there was such a thing, apart from the venerable Focal Press Encyclopaedia of Photography.
: : Thanks for taking the trouble to look it up and reply.
: : Mick Fanning
: I am away from my library right now. But I'll look that up and post again this evening. The book I have is: "Filmmaker's Dictionary" by Ralph S. Singleton and James A. Conrad (Lone Eagle Publishing, Hollywood, Cal., 2nd edition, 2000).
I couldn't find that term either. I need a new dictionary.
