I ALWAYS THOUGHT OF "Clean Slate" phrase was meant to be as: wiping the blackboard clean, Nothing to be looked upon.
"Lets start with a clean slate" meant to me to forget either what we were talking about, maybe the other person did not understand what was being said up to this point. Okay, forget what I said and lets start over.
Make a payment that pays in full. . . . . That last payment: Wiped the slate clean.
