: : In being used fairly often on the Madrid streets these days. I ask because it does seem uniquely clever and universal, characteristics which should elevate it to multilanguage status.

: There's one used here in Ireland: 'The old dog for the road.' The old dog has survived through experience. It's used to describe a person who has survived many difficulties and has learned much from the experiences.
