Question about question marks

Agreed. I don't think Gary's explanation about 'hidden HTML code' is correct. When you cut and paste text off a screen, then it comes out in ASCII, I think. The problem seems to be with double quotation marks, ie ". All other characters appear OK. I wonder if this " will come out as a ?

Incidentally, sorry for the multiple posts below - the software ran away with me but, this time, it was my fault. Sorry again.
