: She wears the pants in that household. There's also the rather coarse adjective to describe an overly meek husband - "pussywhipped".

Shrew: battleaxe, harpy, spitfire, termagant, virago, vixen, xanthippe.
Weakling: milksop, milquetoast, mollycoddle, pantywaist, pushover, wimp.
