: : I saw another thread regarding this phrase. From my expirence, I first ran into this phrase when moving to the california area in the late 90's from vancouver, canada. But then when returning for an extended vacation I noticed it a few times in Vancouver. Now, its everywhere and there's a small backlash from it.
: : But the question is: Where did it start?
: That one has been discussed on this forum, I believe. A search of the archives failed to turn up the previous discussion. I think the phrase originated in business/corporate settings.
: Here in the U.S., I first heard this expression back in the late 60's relating to sex. It was often stated that there was "no such thing as bad sex... it's all good." Does that help?
