Yes, I like that sentiment.
"The New International Dictionary of Quotations" by Margaret Miner and Hugh Rawson has this version: "Revenge is a dish that should be eaten cold. -- Anonymous (English proverb)." And how about these quotes from the same source: "Living well is the best revenge. -- George Herbert, 'Jacula Prudentum.'" and "In taking revenge, a man is but even with his enemy but in passing it over, he is superior. -- Francis Bacon, 'Of Revenge.'"
