: Has anyone ever heard of this phrase? I've heard "more than one string to your bow" though i've rarely seen it used, but it seems to me I've heard the former somewhere too. Any ideas?
: Thanks
I heard the phrase used as a euphemism for ammunition.
A part-time job I once had during college was a sales position showing the "free" baby pictures taken at your local Sears.
My boss would always say "...and don't forget to bring the letters of recommendation from satisfied customers, they are the arrows in your quiver."
