: : I owe everything to the spaghetti - Attributed to actress Sophia Loren. She set the record straight on CBS Sunday Morning, 20 Dec 2009, Legendary Beauty: A candid interview with Sophia Loren:
: : "It's not true!" she laughed. ""I never said it. 'I owe everything to the spaghetti?' It's not true. They put it in my mouth and it still goes on. It's not true. So silly. Can you imagine?"

: That really is a big disappointment. I'm one of those who innocently quote La Loren as saying "Everything I am I owe to spaghetti." If she didn't say it, she ought to have done.
: As for being a sex bomb, when she became famous with "Two Women," some magazines found pictures of her earlier work. You couldn't avoid it; there was the sex, and whoosh! there was the bomb.
I have a couple of books filled with phrases that are wrongly attributed. I can't address the sex bomb part.
