In a new jacket

In the Netherlands, me and my friends are having a discussion about a Dutch saying, meaning that something is actually the same when taking a better look at it. Literally translated it is: to put something in a new jacket. Does anyone know if there is an English saying that means the same? Many, many thanks in advance!
