: I would like to find the origins of the phrase, "once you go black, you never go back". I am working on a seminar for a univesity seminar course on gender and race relations. Any thing you can come up with would help! Thanks!

Sounds like a 60s thing to me. I couldn't find an origin or a mention in my references books including three that are specifically about African-American expressions and a hip-hop dictionary.
