I didn't find the quote. But found this: "If the palm of the right hand itches, money is coming to you, if that of the left hand, it will have to be paid out by you. It is customary to rub it on wood for luck in both cases." Encyclopedia of Superstitions by E. and M.A. Radford, edited and revised by Christina Hole, Barnes and Noble Books, 1996. First published in 1948. "I Ain't Supertitious," as sung by Howlin' Wolf: "When my right hand itches, I get money for sure."
