: I am really curious how it makes any sense to use "none the less" in a sentence. To me it just doesn't go together. What does it mean?

Most people seem to think it goes together so well that it has been used as one word since at least 1930 and can be found in the dictionary that way. Nonetheless(in spite of that, despite anything to the contrary, nevertheless), I can see how it might be confusing.
