Getting yourself in a jackpot
For the last 50 years, our family has always used the expression: 'getting yourself in a jackpot' :meaning, being in a pack of trouble. What does this expression really mean? Does it really exist, or does it belong to our family tree?
There are 2 Google hits, so you're not completely alone, but it's not exactly popular. I'd say they've substituted jackpot into "getting yourself in a jam" and found it amusing enough to repeat.
