: Could anyone tell me what the phrase "Stupid is as stupid does" is supposed to infer? I heard it before but more recently in the movie "Forest Gump".
: Also, - just wanted to say WHAT A WONDERFUL WEBSITE! Good on you one and all and thank you very much for your help.
It means actions are more important than appearances. Originally "handsome is as handsome does," and a number of other variations. Don't judge "stupid" until you see stupid in action.
