: : : Hi to everyone, my question is regarding a phrase on a the specific definition. The phrase is "Lets cross the bridge when we get there". My friends tell me that the phrase define more on the doing action without knowing what will happen.

: : "Let's cross that bridge when we come to it" means we'll deal with that issue when (or even if) it arises and not before. While it may be because we don't know how to handle it yet, more often it's just putting it off extra work or worry until the time that it must or should be done.

: I agree, particularly with the latter meaning. By the time we get to that bridge (or issue), things may have entirely changed.
