: Has anyone ever heard of the term 'wigwams for a goose's bridal';my mother used the term if we asked what was for dinner

I've heard it - but used in a slightly different (although not incompatible) context to mean things that you don't have (or can't remember) the name for as in "Thingamybobs, whatsits and wigwams for a goose's bridal." Pamela
