: They mean "Hi, I am wise being from a culture that lived millions of years ago. You can tell this because I have my own wise-sounding sayings that you've never heard before."
You gotta believe that there are a lot of giggles in the writers' room when they concoct some of these. The "candlelight" one above was probably done after a long lunch....
