: I am moving from my home to an apartment until my new home is constructed. When I shared this with a friend, he replied, "Two moves equals a fire." What exactly does that expression mean?

The saying implies that moving two times is as bad staying in the same house and having a house fire - the movers damage your stuff, you pack stuff in boxes that you never unpack or lose, etc. And then there's the effect of the stress... I hate moving.
