: : : : Some of the words to this song of John Fogerty's seem to be prophetic to our times. Does anyone have a clue about the title? Is there actually a meaning behind it?

: : : While looking up the lyrics I found out that a line in the song was not what I thought it was!

: : : Don't go 'round tonight
: : : For it's bound to take your life
: : : There's a bad moon on the rise

: : : The last line is "bad moon on the rise", but I always thought it was "bathroom on the right"!!
: : : Duh!!!!

: : Trying to attribute the gift of prophesy to a man who mastered only 3 chords in his career is a leap.

: So far, I've come up with some superstitions about the moon but no "bad moon" origin. And I thought it was "there's a bad moon ON THE RIGHT."

It sure sounded like bathroom on the right to me also, someone needs to teach him how to pronounce his lyricks clearly.
