It's a way of saying that you want to see the actual money with your own eyes. NB are you American? If so you might not know that in Britain banknotes of different denominations are different colours, so a wad of blue notes, for example, is worth less (75% less) than a same-sized wad of violet notes. So the colour of someone's money can matter, over here! (VSD)
