: Probably a reference to George Orwell's "Animal Farm". The animals take over the farm and set out to have equality, but by the end of the book the rules of the society are changed from "All animals are equal" to "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others." And the pigs are in charge, so it is the pigs who are the "more equal" ones. RRC
