I've never heard of a saying "down the chest," so I hope you can provide some context. I would be very surprised if it was synonymous with "there you go" or "done." I can imagine several literal uses of the phrase. "He had a long scar going down the chest." "To find the spot, go down the chest five ribs..." "She felt the pain go down the chest...." But give us the context, and perhaps we can clear this up. SS
