: : : : Fifty-thousand-foot statement.
: : : : What is a fifty-thousand-foot statement? Thanks!
: : : I've heard "thirty-thousand-foot overview" (pick a big number) meaning "a general description without too much detail" of a project. I guess someone in sales or marketing may ask a technical person for a "fifty thousand foot statement" as to what a new project is intended to accomplish.
: : The intent being that the greater the number the less detailed and more concise the answer?
: More strategic and less tactical.
I've never heard this expression. Does it suggest an overview without detail, like a view from an aircraft at 50,000 feet?
