excessive praisePosted by Pamela on August 17, 2005 Can anyone tell me if there is a phrase which means something like: to heap such excessive praise on someone as to really insult them" (i.e. sarcastic use of hyperbole). Sort of the opposite of "damn with faint praise" if you like.
