"Not a bone in my truck"

My mother(born 1907)had a saying "Not a bone in my truck" to describe the fact that she hadn't completed any of her planned tasks for the day. Other friends seem not to have heard of the saying. Would it have anything to do with the "Rag & Bone Man"? Have you heard of this phrase? And what is its derivation?
