: Many questions asked here are simply requests for the meanings of words and phrases well understood by people fluent in English, and it's getting worse all the time. The Discussion Forum wasn't meant to replace a dictionary or a teacher.

I find it annoying when an inquiry is about a "simple" word that could be looked up in the dictionary. But, what are you gonna do?
