Robbing the coffin

"Rob the cradle" means to date or marry someone much younger than you are. (from the archives)
Here's an interesting twist...
Last evening after dinner my seventeen year old daughter was listening to a friend of mine discussing his developing relationship with an older woman who happens to be a grandmother. Without pause, she proclaimed, "My God, you're robbing the coffin!"
Needless to say, the laughter was hearty.
