: : so who's heard "What's that have to do with the price of bombs in Baghdad?" I'm trying to win an argument with a friend that this saying has been around for years...at least I know I've heard my parents say it for what seems like decades...but I don't know the true origination of the phrase...
: Yes, that is a variation of an old phrase. I can't remember the exact old phrase. (Must drink more coffee.) Something like: what does that have to do with the price of eggs.
: Anyone?
PS -- If you search under "price" in the archives, you can access a couple of discussions about "the price of fish" and other variations.
