: No context? It's not a saying, but a conversational sally. Sounds like a man talking to a woman (women are supposed to shed tears more easily then men), saying "Maybe I'm not worth crying over, but I'm important enough to you to deserve some of your time and attention." SS
For what it's worth, I recall a song (country-western, no doubt) that went something like "You ain't worth the salt in my tears".
