: reading about panto and Billy Connolly I came across the word 'sherreebonn' (scots slang I presume) and a sketch which a punch line that scapes me.

: I wonder if anyone familiar with Billy Connolly can help with this punchline, specially if you have seen it, as regard

: 1) where was he putting his head and
: 2) meaning of blubble blubble (is it a corruption of some word or phrase?)

: the sketch mentioned is is the American Express one, which ended with the punchline "put your head in between them and go blubble, blubble, blubble with American Express".

: thanks

I do vaguely remember this from years and years ago. Amex were running a TV campaign basically suggesting that you could do or obtain anything "with American Express" - the parody sketch involved a busty blonde in a bikini, with the camera zooming onto her cleavage accompanied by a voice-over stating "stick your head between them and go "blubba blubba blubba" with American Express".

A far funnier spoof credit card commercial which I have tried and sadly failed to find a link to is the Mastercard "priceless" one involving the teenagers standing in the hall outside the girl's parents apartment - too long to explain, but I'll just say that the guy is trying to persuade the girl that she should "drive a convertible", until he realises that he's been leaning on the intercom button. I recommend it.
