: To keep from asking if any of kittens need homes. I'm catless for the first time in 16 years and missing them. Sadly, young toddlers and kittens aren't probably the best. :)
Nice picture, kittens sleeping like spoons. I first encountered this concept, sleeping like spoons, in assigned reading while I was in high school, and was a bit shocked, since it was a man and woman doing it. Then I realized they were just keeping warm. The verb spoon can be used transitively, "He spooned her," now rarely seen. Usually one sees it in the intransitive form, "They spooned," meaning they either necked or did something similar but quite harmless (not usually in the posture of nested spoons). People that spoon are not having what is commonly called sex. (I have to be careful here: I may have spooned with her, but I did not have sex with that woman!) SS
