Huck suggests a plan to set Jim free; but Tom Sawyer, who's a romantic chap and likes to "spread himself" and "throw style" into everything, claims it's a thoroughly uninteresting plan. "Wouldn't it work"? asks Huck.

"WORK? Why, cert’nly it would work, like rats a-fighting. But it’s too blame’ simple; there ain’t nothing TO it. What’s the good of a plan that ain’t no more trouble than that? >> Why, Huck, it wouldn’t make no more talk than breaking into a soap factory."

So - what's goose-milk and what's so mild about it? anyone have a clue?

thanks again.
