: : : : Does anyone know what "falter to inequity" means?

: : : : "The Office of Investigations requires leadership that will not falter to inequity," says Lieutenant Governor Pence.

: : : Hmmmm... sounds like he stayed up all night working that one out. It's something we'd describe here (rather inelegantly) as a wank.

: : You got that right.

: The "The Office of Investigations" here in NY is the agency that deals with fraud and misrepresentation by corporations.
:
: Since this state is politically led by Republicans, that agency has tended to look the other way when dealing with banks, insurance companies and the real estate industry.

: These businesses have gotten, by way of bribes, gifts and donations to the ones in political power, away with murder.

: Looks like your Gov. Pence just wants his agency to do the opposite of how it is done here. He is hoping that his agency will rise above the corruption, not falter, and deal with these corporations in a sane and healthy way.
