disclaimers can be put to a number of uses and it depends what harm you want to avoid. some liabilities may not be able to be dealt with by a disclaimer - also the internet is trans-national and the law concerning disclaimers differs from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
some concerns are like defamation (libel) which have lots of variations and complicated rules with civil punishments if you get it wrong.
others problems may be criminal - publishing obscene, offensive, hate-inspiring material for instance.
standard disclaimers may put off some claimants, but it is wiser to check these things out properly with a lawyer that knows.
