In the Wizard of Oz, the classic children's book by L Frank Baum, Dorothy a little girl is swept away by a tornado and finds herself in a magical land of Oz. Oz is full of magical beings like witches, talking scarecrows, lions and woodsmen made of tin. In the story Dorothy journeys to the Emerald City to see the Wizard of Oz who she hopes will be able to help her to find a way home. The road that leads to the Emerald City is paved in yellow brick.
