: does anybody know what "the ghost of andy warhol" is all about. i've seen it used several times but can suss out a meaning.
Interesting question. I googled it, and found numerous citations, not all connected. Warhol (if I may speculate) was a somewhat ghostly presence even when he was alive - and he had some prescient observations that remain current. The :15 minutes of fame" quote lives on and on, and his artistic indluence still echoes, particularly in his homage to pop culture and commercial culture and the blurring of the lines between the vulgar and the exalted. His influence lives on after his death. Spooky?
