: I have been searching for a book for my father who lives in Canada and the only thing I found that was remotely close was "Slang and it's meanings". What he wanted was where phrases, or sentences come from their origin. Am I making any sense?

: That was an example of "A" phrase. What he wants is phrases in SLANG.
