: : My parents used to say `You`d laugh to see a pudding crawl. My husband has never heard of it. Is there such a saying recorded?

: I found a similar one, but not that one exactly, in Eric Partridge's "Dictionary of Catch Phrases American and British":

: "'what would shock me would make a pudding crawl'. It takes an awful lot to shock me: predominantly feminine: c. 1880-1920. 'Men were supposed to be unshockable, anyway' (Laurie Atkinson, 1971)."

Thank for the information
