pretty simple, you know how people say some cheeses smelly like smelly feet?
well some are worse, I work with a number of french cheeses, one in paticular, Bleu Davergne (not sure spelling) but its a blue cheese, extremely tasty but as soon as its been cut, gives off a really bad smell. it even actually changes colour, fresh cut blue cheese isnt even blue, its greenish yellow, then changes after 2 or so minutes to blue.
im not sure if that is the right answer but its my own theory, it was the first thing I thought of when I cut it... "so thats how cut the cheese gets the name"
that other guy is talking a bit of crap saying the meaning of "cut". think of the simple things
