: My late grandad always used to say "see you on the ice!" when we left after a visit. Where does this come from? I've always assumed it was some music hall or old entertainers catchphrase ("Where's me washboard!)
: If anyone knows I'd be very grateful!

I haven't found it (yet). I am wondering if it's a variation of "See you in church!"?
