: Each one could technically be interpreted in different ways.
: To say your "peace" may mean you want to comment on something, but want no arguement over it.
: To say your "piece" may mean your comment is just one part of many ideas.

: I've seen the phrase spelled both ways, but they had the same intended meaning (that you just want to comment on something). So, which is correct? Or would it just depend on what you meant?

Piece. Your rehearsed speech. Just as in a piano recital when each child plays his (practiced) piece.
