: : this is a term describing chicken feed used in Oklahoma in the 1950's. it has come to mean "all in one" of "the whole shebang".

: Interesting! I've never heard that. This evening I'll see if I can find the expression in my Dictionary of Regional English.

I couldn't find it in Facts on File Dictionary of American Regionalisms: Local Expressions from Coast to Coast by Robert Hendrickson (Facts on File, New York, 2000) or "Dictionary of American Regional English," Volume 1 by Frederic G. Cassidy (1985, Belknap Press of Harvard University Press, Cambridge, Mass., and London, England).

Do you have more details on when and where you first heard it?
