Hop on, bend, twirl, hop off
Posted by Gary on June 26, 2003 No, not an aerobics regime but Sheffield's bus services. Here
in the UK's frozen north the local council introduced bendibuses
a while ago. These are double-length articulated jobs with a concertina
mid section, which can lead to a bit of an aerial experience if
you stand with one foot in each half.
Not content at that we also have twirly buses. Old age pensioners
get free bus travel after the 9am rush. Anyone trying to use their
pass before 9 get turned off with "Sorry love, you can't use that
on this bus - it's too early".
Some buses are bendy and twirly. Will the fun never end?
