: : : If I want to say A and B have a very close relationship, can I say A is very close to B or should I say A is very close with B or otherwise? Thanks.
: : A is close to B.
: Or alternatively, and expressing a greater degree of mutuality (?):
: A and B are very close.
Another (perhaps slang) word to express closeness is "tight". However, the phrase is "tight with" not "tight to".
