: Speaking of 'Valley speak', there is not a single HELLO in Frank Zappa's classic 'Valley Girl'. This suggests, I think, that HELLO was probably not current in 1982. Or else she would have said it. I post the lyrics below as the site from which it was taken is a pop-up nightmare, i.e. I hesitate to give the URL. And, hey, it's like - hilarious, fer sure! :-)

Well this can only mean one thing: Someone has to rent "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", "The Valley Girl", "Rumblefish" and all those other early 80's teen flicks as 'research'. :)
